Frame Up Basement Gallery To Host New Art Exhibit

The Frame Up Basement Gallery, located on 125 Courthouse Square in Oxford, Mississippi, is hosting an art exhibit on Feb. 12., with artist Justin Treadaway.

The art exhibit will last for one month and will be open to the public. The focus of the event will be Treadway’s art, which is mostly oil and canvas art.

“I’ve primarily painted landscapes ‘en plein air.’ I would classify my style as “semi-abstract impressionism,” Treadaway said.

A native of New Albany, Mississippi, with his wife and two sons, Treadaway graduated from Delta State University in 2006. Upon graduation, Treadaway started teaching at West Union Attendance Center. Treadaway paints beautiful outdoor sceneries of pastures, meadows, trees and other nature with lots of color and depth.

Frame Up owner, Tommy Cribbs, is excited to showcase Treadaway’s art. Cribbs has worked for Frame Up for 15 years, which he has owned for one year. Frame Up has been in business in Oxford for over 33 years.

Frame Up Basement Gallery’s regular hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturdays form 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
