Madrone Art Bar has taken down its controversial One gLove exhibition, and tonight, a new artist will unveil their work in the space. Photographer Rocky McCorkle will be in attendance this evening to discuss his series of photographs, You and Me on a Sunny Day.
Shot entirely on an 8x10 camera, McCorkle's photos read like a narrative film—but one comprised of still, not moving, images. Viewers will get a peek inside the life of widow Millie (played by actress Gilda Todar) as she goes through her morning routine and is interrupted when her favorite movie, Sunset Boulevard, comes on TV.
The opening will take place this evening from 6-9pm at Madrone. As an added perk, Kitten on the Keys will be performing until 8pm.
