Digital Black And White Photography Is Easy

The Photography Club of Long Island (PCLI) is proud to host Port Washington photographer Stan Strauss’ presentation, Digital Black and White is Easy and Fun, on Wednesday, March 9, at 7:30 p.m. at the Port Washington Public Library.
Strauss will show why digital black and white photography is something that more people should try. Black and white photos have had a resurgence in recent years.
Imaging technology and post-processing software has made it simple and fast to create exciting black and white images. In his presentation, he will show several ways to convert color digital images to black and white. Strauss is sure that when the audience sees how easy it is, everyone will want to go home and try it.
Stan Strauss is an avid photographer and computer geek. He started his photography over 40 years ago, and, except for a period with a young child running around, has been busy making photos ever since. He is a member of the Photography Club of Long Island, the Flushing Camera Club (past president), the Long Island Center of Photography, the Manhasset Art Association and the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition.
With the advent of digital photography, he was able to marry his photography with his geekiness. In addition to photography, Strauss provides instruction on basic photography and photo editing, especially Lightroom and Photoshop.
